Hey Honeybee! 🐝
Hey, honeybee! I’m Tanisha Monique, also known as Tanisha the Creator. Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I’m sharing my experiences with motherhood, personal growth, blogging, and building a business while learning how to create the life I’ve wanted for years.
I’m 46 years old, a mother of two grown children, and a woman who has spent plenty of time thinking about her future without always taking the steps needed to change her circumstances. As I approach another birthday, I’m becoming more intentional about my decisions, my finances, and the opportunities I want to create for myself and my family.

My daughter, A’nyia, is 24, and she has a way of giving her mama advice worth listening to, even when I don’t want to admit she’s right. 😂 She’s smart, opinionated, and someone I affectionately call the good side of my brain. My son, Lil David, is 22, and he’s my homebody with a gentle spirit. Watching him grow has reminded me of an important lesson about respecting individual progress and allowing people to develop at their own pace.
Both of my children still live at home, and I’m comfortable with our arrangement. I’ve never believed adulthood should automatically mean losing the closeness we’ve developed as a family. Our relationships continue to change as they grow older, but I still look forward to Sunday dinners, family vacations, conversations around the kitchen table, and eventually owning a home where my children always feel welcome.
Creating financial stability and building a comfortable life for my family are important reasons behind my decision to pursue entrepreneurship.
🌸 The Chapter Where I Choose Myself
I’ve experienced difficult relationships, unexpected disappointments, emotional challenges, and periods when I struggled to make decisions in my own best interest. Looking back, I recognize how often I postponed important changes because I hoped circumstances would improve or believed I’d have more time to address my concerns.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started thinking more seriously about the kind of life I want, and the decisions required to create meaningful change. I’m learning to establish boundaries, protect my peace, manage my responsibilities, and spend more time working toward goals I’ve discussed for years.
Choosing myself means taking responsibility for my future while acknowledging the experiences responsible for shaping my perspective. Some days require difficult decisions, while others involve completing ordinary tasks I’ve avoided for far too long.
I’ve reached a point where I need my actions to reflect my goals.
Girl, either we’re going to do this or we’re going to stop talking about doing this. 😂
My priorities are peace, stability, purpose, financial independence, and creating a home where my family feels comfortable. I understand reaching these goals will require patience, discipline, and consistent effort, and I’m committed to learning along the way.
💻 And Then There’s Blogging…

Honeybee, we need to talk about my blogging history. 😂
My interest in entrepreneurship started long before I understood blogging or digital marketing. Years ago, I spent countless nights watching infomercials advertising opportunities to earn thousands of dollars while working from home. As someone who has always enjoyed staying up late, I paid close attention whenever someone started explaining another business opportunity.
At one point, I became convinced I would make millions selling house notes. Looking back, I don’t even remember understanding the business model well enough to explain how everything worked. 😂 I knew I wanted to become an entrepreneur, work independently, and build something capable of providing financial security.
Around 2008 or 2009, I started learning about blogging and became interested in the possibility of earning income through a website. By 2010, I decided to start my first blog, beginning a journey filled with research, new ideas, unfinished projects, and several attempts to find the right direction.
Over the following years, I created blogs, changed niches, purchased resources, researched different strategies, and spent considerable time planning my next move. Although I gained knowledge along the way, procrastination and inconsistency prevented me from developing the business I envisioned.
Sixteen years later, I’m working on Blog #8. 😂
I sometimes feel disappointed when I think about how much time has passed, especially after watching other bloggers develop successful businesses while I continued preparing for another attempt. Those feelings have also encouraged me to examine my habits and recognize where I need to make changes.
My interest in blogging has remained consistent, even during periods when my actions haven’t reflected my goals. I’m giving myself another opportunity to approach entrepreneurship with greater discipline and a clearer plan.
🎥 My UGC and Content Creation Journey

Alongside blogging, I’m learning about user-generated content, also known as UGC, and exploring opportunities to work with brands through content creation.
UGC involves producing content such as product demonstrations, testimonials, tutorials, and lifestyle videos for businesses. Since I enjoy sharing everyday experiences and trying different products, I see content creation as another opportunity to develop my skills and explore potential income.
I’m still learning, and certain parts of the process make me nervous. Recording an introduction video, building my portfolio, and preparing to approach brands have challenged my confidence. I’ve caught myself wanting to postpone these tasks until I feel more experienced, even though I recognize how often similar thinking affected my blogging journey.
Rather than waiting until I feel completely comfortable, I’m choosing to practice, complete my portfolio, improve my videos, and learn how brand partnerships work.
I’ll document my experiences with creating content, preparing pitches, approaching businesses, and working toward my first paid collaboration. Along the way, I’ll share useful lessons, challenges, and progress so other beginners understand what learning UGC involves.
You get to follow my experiences as I develop my skills and work toward becoming a paid content creator.
